Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on June 14 after reportedly hanging himself in his Bandra house. It is also reported that Sushant was suffering from depression for the last six months before taking this drastic step. After the tragic demise, Mumbai Police started investigating the matter and have interrogated around 40 people. Only yesterday, the police summoned Alia Bhatt's father and Sadak 2 filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and he gave his statement at the Santacruz police station. Today, Karan Johar's Dharma Productions' CEO Apoorva Mehta has recorded his statement in connection to the investigation into Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide.
According to a report in India Today, on Tuesday, he arrived at Amboli Police Station for interrogation about the late actor's professional terms with the production house and its owners. Filmmaker Karan Johar has also been summoned by the police to record his statement as well which is said to happen this week itself. On Sunday, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh had said in a statement which was carried by TOI. His statement read, “In 1-2 days Mahesh Bhatt's statement will be taken. Then under CrPC Kangana Ranaut has also been summoned. Whoever is needed we will summon.”
Meanwhile, filmmakers Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Aditya Chopra, Rumy Jafry and many more have been summoned by the Mumbai police and they have recorded a statement in connection to the investigation into Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide.
As police are doing their best to investigate the matter, the fans are also fighting for the late actor on social media and demanding for CBI probe in Sushant's suicide case. Even Kangana Ranaut, Shekhar Suman, Rhea Chakraborty have urged for a CBI inquiry.
